This internal expansion card connects to a PCI Express slot to add four RS232 serial ports with DB9 connectors to the computer. It enables communication with serial devices such as printers, card readers, or PIN Pad terminals at transmission speeds of up to 921.6 Kbps.

The device features an Asix AX99100A chipset and is compatible with the 16950 UART industrial standard. It has a 256-byte FIFO cache per transmitter and receiver, and supports data lengths of 5 to 9 bits per port. It includes full-height and optional low-profile brackets to facilitate installation in different case formats. It is compatible with Windows and Linux, and provides 5/12V output power on pin 9 if external power is connected.
