Optical drives and backups 13 products

LTO tapes for backups, CD and DVD optical drives and blank discs, from brands such as HPE, IBM, ASUS, Verbatim, Intenso and Gembird. An LTO cartridge must be of a generation that your tape drive can read and write: recent drives only support their own generation and the previous one, so check compatibility before buying. There are also cleaning cartridges and barcode labels for tape libraries.

Many laptops no longer include an optical drive, and a USB external unit solves this for installing programs or recovering old discs. For your data, a simple rule is 3-2-1: three copies, on two different media and one of them off-site.
