Graphics cards for local AI 61 products

To use AI models locally, the graphics card memory (VRAM) is the first priority: the model must fit entirely to respond smoothly. As a guide, a model with 7 or 8 billion parameters quantized to 4 bits fits in about 8 GB, and with 16 GB or more you can run medium-sized models or generate images comfortably.

Most local AI tools are optimized for CUDA, NVIDIA's platform; AMD and Intel graphics cards work with more and more programs, but it is worth checking that yours supports them. Also check the recommended power supply, the power connector and that the card fits lengthwise in your case.
