This adapter converts the video and audio signal from a USB Type-C port into a DisplayPort 1.4 output. It is designed to connect monitors or projectors via a DP cable to laptops, Chromebooks, or tablets that support DP Alt Mode, including devices with Thunderbolt 3. Its main function is to extend the screen or duplicate the image at high resolutions, leveraging the video capabilities of the source device.
