Terra Mare is a strategy and tile-laying board game where players take on the role of medieval cartographers. The core mechanic involves fitting double-sided hexagonal tiles together while following the rule of matching land with land and sea with sea. Each game generates a unique map, and points are scored by completing terrain zones, earning points for each tile that forms part of them.

The game is designed for groups of 2 to 4 players with a recommended age of 14 and up. Games last approximately 40 minutes and are available in Spanish, Catalan, Portuguese, and Italian. It includes special bonuses on certain tiles and scoring variants, such as mountain and coral chains, which are activated in three-player games to enhance strategic depth.
