Akrotiri is a strategy board game that places players in the Thera archipelago. The game combines maritime exploration, resource management, and archaeology to uncover ancient Minoan temples. Participants navigate between islands, build routes, and conduct excavations following clues from a mysterious map.

The game system stands out for its progressive board building, which expands as new islands and routes are discovered. Strategy requires collecting resources at various points in the archipelago and transporting them to Thera to fund expeditions. Trade and logistics are essential to keep pace with rivals and locate the forgotten temples before they do.
