Maui is a light strategy board game designed for players aged 8 and up. Participants act as beach attendants who must place towels in strategic zones to maximize their score. The objective is to position elements near the ocean, under the shade of trees, or next to umbrellas, which encourages planning and spatial awareness during the game.

The Spanish edition, published by Plan B Games, includes varied components to ensure replayability. The contents consist of 60 towel pieces, 4 double-sided beaches, a market board, and a scoring board with an expansion. It also includes umbrella, crab, and penalty tokens, as well as markers, sand dollars, and a carrying bag. Games are designed to last approximately 30 minutes with a player count of 2 to 4.
