Bomb Squad Academy is a competitive and strategic board game in which participants take on the role of bomb disposal cadets during their final exam. The mechanics focus on decision-making under pressure, where each choice of wire to cut determines whether the explosion is avoided or the graduation is failed. The system combines suspense and light strategy, requiring players to evaluate their opponents' moves while watching the detonation meter.
The game is designed for quick sessions with high replayability, using physical elements that increase tension as cards are revealed. The box includes 48 wire cards, 20 tool cards, and 30 action cards, along with 4 detonation meters and 12 indicators. It also provides 45 point counters, 2 pressure plates, 4 trigger tokens, and the instruction manual, offering a visual and dynamic experience for groups.
