This internal expansion card connects to the computer via a PCI Express x1 interface to add four DB9 serial ports. Each port can be configured independently to operate with the RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 standards, enabling communication with various serial peripheral devices. The design includes DIP switches to select the operating mode and LEDs that display the activity of each port in real time.

The card incorporates integrated jumpers to configure three external power modes: 12 V, 5 V, or no power via pin 9. Its form factor allows the use of low-profile brackets, facilitating installation in small form factor systems.
