This expansion card allows you to add four 6 Gbps SATA III ports to a system via a PCI Express x2 slot. It features the ASM1164 controller, which delivers a combined performance of up to 16 Gbps for connecting hard drives or solid-state drives. The SATA connectors are stacked on the board, and cables are sold separately.

The design supports both low-profile and full-profile formats, facilitating installation in various chassis. It is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux, as well as previous generations of SATA and PCIe. It does not include a hardware RAID controller, but supports software RAID and port multipliers with additional hardware.
