This internal StarTech.com controller card allows you to connect up to six 6Gbps SATA III drives via a PCI Express x4 slot. It features the ASM1166 chipset, which delivers a combined performance of up to 16Gbps for hard drives or SSDs. Its design includes stacked SATA connectors and does not have a hardware RAID controller, although it supports software RAID and port multipliers.

The device is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems, as well as previous PCIe and SATA specifications.
