The Synology RS2423+ is a 2U rack-format NAS server designed for professional environments that require scalable storage. It features a quad-core AMD Ryzen V1780B processor at 3.35 GHz (3.6 GHz turbo) and 8 GB of DDR4 ECC RAM, expandable up to 32 GB via two DIMM slots. The chassis supports up to 12 hot-swappable 2.5" or 3.5" SATA drives, allowing for flexible RAID configurations such as JBOD, RAID 0/1/5/6/10, and Synology Hybrid RAID, in addition to supporting SSD cache and the Btrfs file system.

Network connectivity includes two Gigabit Ethernet ports and one 10GbE RJ-45 port, facilitating link aggregation to improve bandwidth.
