This StarTech.com SFP transceiver module is designed to provide 100 Mb Ethernet connectivity over single-mode fiber optic. MSA-compliant, it works with 100BASE-LX routers and switches, enabling reliable data links over fiber cabling.

The device uses an LC connector and operates at a wavelength of 1310 nm, reaching a maximum distance of 10 km. It supports a data transfer rate of 155 Mbit/s and consumes less than 1 watt. It includes Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) and supports hot-swapping to facilitate installation and replacement without interrupting network service.
