This StarTech.com SFP transceiver module is designed to provide Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over fiber optic cabling. Compatible with the HPE J4859C model, it supports the 1000BASE-LX standard and works in both single-mode and multi-mode networks. Its design allows for hot-swapping, facilitating component upgrades or replacements without interrupting network service.

The device uses LC connectors and operates at a wavelength of 1310 nm, achieving a maximum transmission distance of 10,000 m. It reaches a data transfer rate of 1,250 Mbit/s and consumes less than 1 watt. It includes the DDM function for digital diagnostic monitoring.
